We woke up early and were ready to go out for our walk earlier than usual. Before I got into the car, I took out my smartphone to take 2 quick snapshots of the morning sky.

Blooming Bauhinia Kockiana from my garden
A cluster of flowers in the shape of a pretty bouquet.
A simple fried rice for 2 people.
I used long beans and okra harvested from the garden and 2 eggs.

If he sows to please his own wrong desires,
he will be planting seeds of evil and he will surely reap
a harvest of spiritual decay and death;
but if he plants the good things of the Spirit,
he will reap the everlasting life that the Holy Spirit gives him.
(Galatians 6:8, The Living Bible-TLB)
Very lovely blue and purplish shots of the sky. So nice to have your own fresh garden harvested green beans and okra for your meal.
ReplyDeleteThese are our reward from the garden.
DeleteWonderful pink and peachy shades in the sky! I did not find a Finnish name for your Bauhinia kockiana. Maybe it is too delicate and exotic to be cultivated here... It is very beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Riitta.
DeleteYour fried rice looks very tasty. I remember a long time ago, a neighbor's daughter cooked her own lunch and made fried rice with okra. Being inexperienced, she was alarmed that her fried rice became slimy. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI only used 1 long okra and not to overcook the okra, so it was not slimy. This is my first time using okra to friend rice.
Delete...a beautiful start to your day. Happy Easter to you Nancy.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom! Happy Easter to you too!

DeleteI am glad I am not the only person who loves taking photos of the sunset. Your Bauhinia Kockiana colors remind me so much of one of the flowering trees in my native Puerto Rico called Flamboyan. Its like they are on fire!
ReplyDeleteI love taking photos of sky and anything interesting. Flamboyan has bright and beautiful red flowers.
DeleteLooking at your photos, I just realise that I am never out that early to look at the skies with morning colours. Beautiful colours!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was younger, I was too busy or sleepy to bother about morning skies. Now that am older, I have the time to enjoy the sky colours.
DeleteI love the black silhouettes against the beautiful sky. Wow, these leaves are gorgeous, and each bunch is like a bouquet!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny.
