Home Alone, Sharing Home Cooked Dinner With A Friend

One afternoon, a friend suggested that we go out for dinner together and we agreed. Later, this friend called to say that she would be late for dinner because the delivery service called up to inform her that they will be arriving late. She had to wait for some new furniture to be delivered to her house as she was the only one at home.

Hubby had a prayer meeting to attend after dinner. Instead of waiting and being late for the meeting, I suggested that I will cook dinner and take it over to her house. Then we can enjoy our dinner while waiting for the delivery service to turn up. My friend will be cooking rice and boil a soup.
2 types of home cooked dishes in stainless steel tiffin carrier.
Stinky beans with prawns and snake beans.
My home grown snake beans sauteed with garlic and dried prawns.
Spicy sambal prawns, stinky beans and home grown eggplants with minced pork.
The furniture was delivered and assembled as we were having our dinner. After dinner, we had ample time to wash up and hubby was not late for the meeting.

Home cooked dinner for 2 people.
I had some prawns in the fridge and I thought of the simplest recipe.
The marinated prawns (salt and sugar) were pan fried and set aside. I fried ginger slices, garlic, shallots and add in the prawns. I added in the sauce (oyster sauce, pepper, cooking wine and a little water). Give it a quick stir and dish out.
Sauteed snake beans, a small sized white bitter gourd with garlic and meat slices.
My edible garden also blessed me with beautiful flowers such as this okra flower.

Blessed is the man who reveres God,
but the man who doesn't care is headed for serious trouble.
