We woke up to a cold, rainy morning. No morning walk, so we waited for the rain to stop.
8:00am
It was still raining over the hills.
Getting ready to go out for breakfast.
~~~~~
On this cold, rainy morning, we were thinking of dry curry noodle with coffee.
Unsweetened coffee with evaporated milk (kopi-C kosong).
We ordered 2 plates of dry curry noodles with bbq pork (char siew) and curry chicken.
Hubby had yellow noodle.
I prefer flat rice noodle (koay teow).
Avocado seedling waiting for my friend to collect to plant in her big garden.
~~~~~
For dinner with friends, we had the following dishes.
Venison with black pepper sauce.
Steamed Tilapia with special spicy sauce.
Sauteed sweet potato leaves with fu yee (fermented bean curd).
Total cost of dinner including rice and warm water = RM67 for 4 people.
~~~~~
Murals from Batu Gajah town.
For clearer pictures, I took the left and right of the mural separately.
(Left side) - Sampan (wooden boat).
(Right side) - Fishing village.
The whole mural of a fishing village facing the parking lot.
Linking to Monday mural.
Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by a fisherman -
he casts a net into the water and gathers in fish of every kind,
valuable and worthless. When the net is full,
he drags it up onto the beach and sits down and
sorts out the edible ones into crates and throws the others away.
(Matthew 13:47-48, The Living Bible-TLB)
The mural is gorgeous!!! Brilliant and the artist is so talented.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny.
DeleteThank you Nancy for showing us the very skilfully drawn mural. Did the artist sign a signature on the mural?
ReplyDeleteI would love to eat Dry Curry Noodle & Coffee On A Cold, Rainy Morning. So tummy warming. I would have a mix of yellow noodles and hor fun/kway teow for the dry curry noodles. Your dinner looks delicious and the price is reasonable especially including a fish.
I keep forgetting to check for signature on the mural.
DeleteInteresting hills there Nancy. Love the murals.
DeleteNow I do wonder what your "cold" is, LOL.
ReplyDeleteGreat rain pics, though!
Oh, I try to grow two avocados. again, too. They will never have fruit here, but maybe they become plants again (my last ones died).
Are the potato leaves really sweet?
Nice mural!
A friend had successfully grown an avocado tree and it is fruiting abundantly. The sweet potato leaves is just like any green vegetable, just the leaves from sweet potato.
DeleteVery dark clouds, lovely food :) Beautiful mural Nancy. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sami for hosting.
DeleteCurry noodles look nice but I am not into anything spicy in the early morning, not for me for breakfast, thank you. I don't mind venison but I'm off red meat now - cannot eat that anymore.
ReplyDeleteThank you, STP. I can still stomach spicy and sour food for breakfast.
