This was a long overdue trip to visit our friends in Semenyih. We finally bought 2 to and fro ETS tickets to Kuala Lumpur Sentral because for the time being, there is no direct Electric Train Service (ETS) to Semenyih.
We got up early on Malaysia Day to get ready to take the 8:20 am train to KL Sentral.
We reached KL Sentral at about 11:10am. After a long time, the 2 families were able to meet up once again. Reservation was made and the 9 of us had lunch at Chef Chew Restaurant in Petaling Jaya.
Poached chicken.
Tofu with angled loofah in clay pot.
Lard rice - very yummy.
Sauteed spinach or poh choy.
Sweet sour pork or koh loh yoke underneath the ice cubes. I should have taken another snapshot with some of the ice cubes pushed aside to show the sweet sour pork.
Water spinach in clay pot.
It was a wonderful lunch and gathering for 2 families.
After lunch hubby and I followed our friends to Semenyih for a 3D2N stay with them.
Another mural from Tanjung Tualang, showing some of the costumes of the many people groups in Malaysia. This was on a school wall, probably painted by one of the students.
Linking to Monday Mural.
He wrote them to teach his people how to live -
how to act in every circumstance,
for he wanted them to be understanding,
just, and fair in everything they did.
"I want to make the simpleminded wise!" he said.
"I want to warn young men about some problems they will face"
(Proverbs 1:2-4, The Living Bible-TLB)
I'm learning about this place from your blog! I must make a visit one day.
