We were looking forward to this lunch outing which we have planned a few days ahead. A sister suggested Asow Eatery Canteen which is located at 187a, Jalan Sultan Iskandar (formerly Hugh Low Street), Taman Jubilee, Ipoh.
Being a weekday, there was no crowd.
We can pick and choose a nice table to enjoy our meal and fellowship.
Lots of indoor plants and nice decoration.
After going through the menu, we settled for the day's special set lunch.
3 sets of fish and chips.
Garlic bread.
Ice blended sour sop and soup of the day.
Fish (white tuna) and chips.
Terrarium decoration in aquarium.
I saw some fishes in the water.
But when I drew near, they went to hide.
Small terrarium.
Google Lens identified this as Cananga odorata, aka ylang-ylang or cananga flower. This was planted outside the eatery.

Who may climb the mountain of the Lord
and enter where he lives?
Who may stand before the Lord?
Only those with pure hands and hearts,
who do not practice dishonesty and lying.
They will receive God's own goodness as their blessing from him,
planted in their lives by God himself, their Savior.

ReplyDeleteThank you, Gigi. I am sure you will.
DeleteI am struck by how lush and green these plants are. It is obvious that they like where they are.
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued to know what the popcorn chicken fry is like. Do you know the recipe?
I haven't tried making popcorn chicken. I think they have frozen ones in the supermarket. Maybe you can try to search for the recipe in Youtube.
DeleteLooks like a comfortable and lovely place to eat with your sisters. Sorry the fish hid from you. I thought there was one in there but it was a piece of wood. I enjoy eating with my sister once a year. I wish we were closer so we could eat again. Maybe a weekend might work soon. Will see. Hugs and blessings, Becky
ReplyDeleteThank you, Becky. We should try to make it more often. Hugs and blessings to you too.

DeleteThe terrariums are beautiful! I won't know how to maintain them and I wonder how long do they last. That ylang-ylang flower has a very strong scent and my late grandmother had it in her garden. I can't remember the Malay name for it.
ReplyDeleteI too wouldn't know how to maintain them. This is my first time seeing this ylang-ylang flower.
DeleteAh! Bunga Kenanga. LOL!
