Split Cabbage Head In My Garden

Before the rainy season started, I had 5 pots of cabbage plants growing in my garden.

This was taken in August, 2022.
This was taken in September, 2022.
This was taken in October, 2022.
The cabbage plants were growing well and healthy.
Here in this photo, the cabbage heads have started to form.
November, 2022.
This cabbage head is getting big.
This is the biggest of them all.
Due to the rainy season, the excess water has caused this cabbage head to split.
The split affected the whole cabbage head.
The insufficient sunlight also contributed to the damage.
Even the figs also split open due to excess water.
This is the curled up flower of the cranberry hibiscus.
Cranberry flowers.
Took this photo on a sunny morning.
This photo of the zebras was taken by a friend who visited the Taiping zoo.
Beautiful stripes on the zebra.

But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our wickedness
[our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing];
The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him,
And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.
(Isaiah 53:5, Amplified Bible-AMP)

    1. No, I didn't harvest the split cabbage but I did harvest the figs. The spilt cabbage is too small.

    1. It will take some time for it to roll into a cabbage head. I do hope those in my garden will endure through the rainy season.

  6. Raining season could cause havoc to the farmers. The mini mart lady that I patronise for vegetable and pork, always complained on the vegetables condition during monsoon and raining season. Spoiled vegetables, price hike etc.

    1. True. Now I know why the prices of vegetables will go up during the rainy season.

  9. Did you notice any insect going into the split fig? I remember reading somewhere about figs taking in nutrition from insect juices.

  12. Beautiful cabbage and the color of the hibiscus is gorgeous. I didn't know cabbage could split but I have never raised it. Rain is wonderful for many plants but guess it causes issues for others.

  21. Shows how much I know about vegetables... I didn't know that too much rain would cause a cabbage head to split. Your hibiscus is beautiful, as always. Your cabbage in pots has grown well and really looks nice.
