We didn't go for morning walk because it rained early this morning. It was forecasted that there was rain but it didn't. Hopefully the dry spell is over and the rain will be back so that I can start to grow some new edibles in my garden.
This was last Thursday morning at 7:20am taken during our morning walk.
7:28am
This was one of the hot days.
~~~~~
Hubby wanted to eat our favourite wonton noodle in town.
There were only 3 customers ahead of us. It was only about 8:20am but we were told that wonton dumplings were sold out.
So we ordered wonton noodle with sweet sour pork rib and sui kao.
This wonton noodle is special because it is thinner than others.
This soup is extra flavourful. We don't get thirsty drinking this soup so it could not be due to msg added.
The lady boss is very generous with the pickled green chili.
Somehow I will finish all.
Hubby stopped on the way to buy RM10 worth of roast pork.
I kept the roast pork in the fridge for dinner.
Deep pink Balsam plants in my front garden.
Balsam plants do not last long but they are self-propagating.
I bought a small pack of large size cookies (hup toh soh in Cantonese).
Very nice and crumbly. I can only eat half of it at one time.
Chinese rojak for lunch.
I finally get down to making curry puff with the ready made puff pastry skin that was sitting in the freezer. For the filling, I used chicken breast meat, potatoes, onions and curry powder. These were kept in the fridge. Whenever I want some for breakfast, lunch or snack, I will reheat whatever I need in the oven.
Home cooked dinner for 2 people.
Blanched baby pak choy, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Lotus root, carrot, red dates, goji berries, a small dried cuttlefish and chicken bones. The soup is full of natural sweetness. I do not used msg because it causes headache and makes me thirsty. I shared the soup with our neighbour as they have gone back to work full time.
Old fashioned fire wood stove at the Antong Coffee Mill in Taiping.
How long, LORD, will the wicked, how long will the wicked be jubilant?
They crush your people, LORD; they oppress your inheritance.
They slay the widow and the foreigner; they murder the fatherless.
Take notice, you senseless ones among the people;
you fools, when will you become wise?
Does he who fashioned the ear not hear?
Does he who formed the eye not see?
Does he who disciplines nations not punish?
Does he who teaches mankind lack knowledge?
The LORD knows all human plans; he knows that they are futile.
