I know we are already in the first week of the New Year but I just want to share a Christmas decoration I saw at Aeon Falim, Ipoh. We were at the mini post office there to renew our car road tax and after that, we walked over to the supermarket to get some foodstuff.

King Oyster Mushroom + Fish Paste With Chili Bean Paste
That was when we passed by this decoration.
At least I get to share a Christmas decoration for the year 2021.
Nice and simple decoration.
For snack, I boiled chickpea with salt and water, add in some pandan leaves and extra ginger strips.

Simple home cooked 1 dish dinner.
This is the first time I bought and used this chili bean sauce.
I used the chili bean sauce to cook the above dish.
Ingredients: Fish cake, king oyster mushroom, chopped garlic and ginger, red chilies and chili bean sauce. We had steamed brown rice with this one dish. We had some leftover for the next day's dinner.

For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love.
Death can't, and life can't. The angels won't,
and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God's love away.
Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow,
or where we are - high above the sky,
or in the deepest ocean - nothing will ever be able
to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by
our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.

Steamed Blended Ginger Chicken & Stewed Plum Sauce Fish Head
2 Days In 1 Post
8th June: While waiting for 7am to start our morning walk, I swept the porch area.

Returning from morning walk at 7:50am.
Hubby bought fish noodle with wine and some fried goodies.
1 portion of noodle for 2 people to share.
Simple lunch.
1 curry puff was eaten before snapshot.
Boiled pre-soaked chickpea with screwpine leaves (pandan leaves), ginger slices and salt.

Steamed home grown green eggplant (brinjal), okra, and snake beans. Drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce. Gave some to neighbour.
Leftover steamed blended ginger chicken, kept for tomorrow breakfast.

9th June - out on our morning walk.
Almost deserted road.
A busy road with heavy traffic before lockdown.
Very few walkers and very few cars on the road.
For breakfast, we had noodles, blanched baby Chinese kai lan with the leftover blended ginger chicken from previous dinner.
Growing chilies in my garden.
Grown from store bought chili seeds.
I have to harvest them before they ripen.
They tend to rot easily when ripen.
Will be kept in the fridge until they are needed.

Dinner
Neighbour bought us stewed sour plum fish head plus a slice of fish.
Fish head for me and slice of fish for hubby. Very flavourful and delicious.
Blanched baby Chinese kai lan, drizzled with garlic oil, oyster and soy sauce.
Yummy dinner with plain rice porridge on a warm evening.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

Salted Egg Yolk Cookies, Boiled Chickpea & Lazy Dinner
Last week, I had a breakfast appointment with 2 friends. We haven't met up for months since the 2nd movement control order. Hubby and I woke up early and we had plenty of time for our morning walk and returning home to get ready before driving out to meet my friends.
Sunrise at 7:45am.
My friends and I went to a new eatery to try curry noodle. We were busy talking and I forgot to snap photos of our breakfast. The curry noodle was like any average curry noodle and nothing special about it. On the drive home, we stopped to buy some cookies.
A rotating machine for toasting peanuts for making the cookies.
This machine removes the skin from the toasted peanuts.
My friend and I stopped to buy meat floss salted egg yolk cookies. The picture on the box shows cookies without meat floss. I think it is RM3 per cookie but I am not very sure.
I also bought the above snacks from the same place.
Boiled chickpeas for lunch.
I soaked the chickpeas in the morning before I went out.
~~~~~
I went into lazy mode.
I opened a can of mutton curry, blanched some home grown Brazilian spinach and cooked dried noodle for hubby. I cooked oat porridge for myself and ate most of the Brazilian spinach.
Sunset at 7:20pm
Evening sky (opposite the setting sun) at 7:20pm.
Snake plant aka mother-in-law tongue plant.
Snake plants rarely flower.
When it does, it is usually because the plants growing in a flower pot is root bound.
Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from him.
See that you go on growing in the Lord,
and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught.
Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all he has done.
Boiled Chickpeas, Claypot Chicken Rice & Home Grown Long Beans
This was last Wednesday, the 6th day of MCO 2.0. We started off the day with a free breakfast.
Curry noodle from our friend.
Boiled chickpeas for lunch and snack.
I washed and soaked the chickpeas overnight in the fridge.
Long beans harvested from my garden.
~~~~~
What we had for dinner.....
Hubby went out to takeaway (tapau) our favourite claypot chicken rice. Besides chicken, other ingredients include Chinese sausage and a small piece of salted fish.
Garnishing from the previous day (leftover from the roast pork bone porridge), sambal dried prawns and bird's eye chilies in soy sauce.
Claypot chicken rice and sauteed long beans for dinner.

Linking to Friday Bliss & Skywatch Friday.
For God's Word is solid to the core;
everything he makes is sound inside and out.
He loves it when everything fits,
when his world is in plumb-line true.
Earth is drenched in God's affectionate satisfaction.
