Lunch At Chang Jiang White Coffee Shop At Riverfront Park, Ipoh

This was in January this year, that we went to check out this newly opened coffee shop at Riverfront Park which was formerly known as the People's Park.

The last time we were here was in September, 2018 to enjoy the delicious lamb rack and lamb soup by BBQ Lamb. If you are interested, you can click here for the post to see the changes. So, about 4 years later, we were once again walking into this park and climbing up these steps, curious to see what's new inside there.
Property of the Ipoh City Council.
This Riverfront Park is just beside the Kinta River that separates the new and old town of Ipoh.
This wooden structure is new.
The front entrance to Chang Jiang White Coffee Shop.
Since it is about a week to Chinese New Year, it is not surprising to see these red lanterns
This view greeted us as we walked through the entrance.
More red lanterns.
Similar to the olden days wooden doors.
We were shown to a big room with tables and chairs.
Some tables have marble table tops with wooden stand and wooden tools just like in the old days.
Antique screen with coloured tinted glass.
Hubby took this picture. He was more focus on the decoration than the antique meat safe.
Simple lunch for 2 people.
Fried wonton @ RM5.94
Toast with butter and kaya (coconut jam).
Toast at RM5.83
Hubby and I shared the above.
Sometimes we can be light eaters. Lol!
Unsweetened coffee (RM4.88) for hubby and fresh lemon juice (hot), less sweet (RM6.68) for me.
By the time we finished, most of the tables in the big room were occupied. Hopefully, they will have more tables available outside this room.
Free mask is given after we settled the bill.

Wishing everyone Happy Valentines Day
& Happy Chap Goh Meh!

(Chap Goh Meh is the 15th night of the Chinese New Year)

but that doesn't mean you are free to do wrong.

  1. El restaurante me ha parecido muy bonito y amplio; y el desayuno que habéis tomado se parece más a los de Occidente, que los que tomáis habitualmente.
    Una entrada preciosa.

  15. Your lunch At Chang Jiang White Coffee Shop looks more like a snack or breakfast or tea time with no main meals but I like eating like this with deep fried wantons and toasts and coffee drinks. Thanks for all the photos. Wow! So nice of them to give free masks. Have you used their masks yet? Is the quality good?

  16. I've only been to the BBQ lamb place at night (after finding out about it in your blog!). Would love to make a trip for breakfast now too. But not that much variety is available?
