Yesterday was the 1st day of the Chinese New Year celebration. For yesterday's lunch I cooked the following dishes for my family.
Nothing special, just like any normal home cooked meal.
Easy pan cooked marinated pork belly with nam yue (fermented tofu).
Taste good but next time I will need to reduce the amount of nam yue.
I cooked a simple yam bean, carrot dish just for myself.
I cooked it with just garlic and oyster sauce.
I love to eat yam bean dish wrapped in lettuce leaves.
Simple and easy pan fried prawns.
Cabbage with garlic and oyster sauce and some home grown spring onions.
Left over lotus root soup from the previous reunion dinner.
For the next few days we will be having home cooked meals until I cleared the stock in my fridge.
Dawn at the recreational park.
Will resume our early morning walk to burn off the calories as soon as possible.
Amaryllis lilies from my garden.
Waiting for the plants for flower again.
As I am preparing this post, my neighbours are letting off firecrackers to celebrate the 2nd day of Chinese New Year.

Your cooking looks yummy. I could never make so many dishes at once. I love your first dawn shot, with the beautiful deep blues.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny! I will have to space out the cooking. Some I will cook earlier so that I wouldn't have to rush at the last minute.
