Steamed Eggs & Stir Fried Cabbage With Roast Pork For Dinner.

The weather is now much cooler even though it is still bright and sunny for the most part of the day. These days, if I were to take out my laundry to dry under the sun, I will have to watch the sky for the looming dark cloud.
Morning sky at 7:21 am.
Happy to see my single layer yellow hibiscus blooming non stop.
Harvested the long okra or lady fingers from my garden.
I only have 2 plants growing in a pot.
That morning had dim sum breakfast with my elder son before he returns to the city.

I have some left over food in the fridge, so I just need to add something simple.
I added this dish - steamed "water eggs" or "sui tan".
It is actually a mixture of salted egg, century egg, chicken egg and water.
Just add a dash of pepper and a some sesame oil.
Cabbage cooked with some left over home made roast pork.
Left over lotus root soup boiled with pork rib, carrot and red dates.
This was our simple home cooked dinner for 2 people.
With all the left over cleared, the kitchen can be temporary closed.

Sharing some items from the National Museum, Kuala Lumpur.
Shadow play puppets and the Rebab, a stringed instruments used in the play.
The shadow puppet play (wayang kulit) was formerly a very popular form of entertainment in this country, especially in the state of Kelantan. These puppets, representing characters in the play, are made from dried and smoothed skin of cattle or buffaloes. This material can be cut, chiseled and dyed to produce the likeness of each character.
It was claimed that the first shadow play or wayang kulit was performed around 200 to 250 years ago. Among the popular characters in this country shadow play were Sita Dewi (legendary princess), Maharaja Ravana (demon king), Hanuman (magical white monkey), and Seri Rama (warrior prince).

O Jehovah, Commander of the heavenly armies,
where is there any other Mighty One like you?
Faithfulness is your very character.
(Psalm 89:8, The Living Bible-TLB)
