Chicken Porridge And Assam Laksa

When friends get together, we always talk about food or where to eat. One day we invited our friends over to my house to enjoy a simple assam laksa lunch.
Morning sky at 6:50 am
The day started as usual with our early morning walking exercise at the park.
 6:57 am
This was before the haze came.
Morning sky at 7:10 am
After our morning walk, we drove to the market to get some fishes to add to the ready cooked assam laksa paste which was given by our friend.
Not much choice in the nearby market, so I bought the above fishes.
Easy to prepare assam laksa soup with ready cooked paste.
Then the steamed fishes were deboned and the flesh added to the soup. Our friends contributed the noodle and we had cucumber and pineapple for garnishing.
A bowl of appetizing assam laksa which is just as good as the Penang assam laksa.
The day before, together with our friends we drove to Gopeng.
Came to this stall on the right, selling chicken porridge.
We ordered a plate of chicken to go with plain rice porridge.
2 bunches of stinky beans.
There was a stall just outside the food court selling local fruits.
We bought a big durian. Had it opened and ate on the spot.
We bought 2 kilos of the above fruits called duku langsat in Malay.
Good to drink fresh green coconut water especially when the weather is hot.
We drove back to Ipoh in time to collect the pre-ordered neen koh (deep fried sticky rice snack)
Crispy batter on the outside and sweet and runny on the inside.

As far as God is concerned there is a sweet,
wholesome fragrance in our lives.
It is the fragrance of Christ within us,
an aroma to both the saved and
the unsaved all around us.
(2 Corinthians 2:15, The Living Bible-TLB)
