Our Last Wonton Noodle Breakfast At Jalan Simpang, Jelapang

Due to the bad haze condition, we cancelled our early morning walk. Since we haven't been to Jelapang village for the wonton noodles, we decided to have breakfast there. And that was when we were informed by the boss that they are stopping their noodle business for good from Sunday, 15th September, 2019. We are going to miss their wonton dumplings and herbal duck soup.
It was a Saturday of a long weekend, with Monday being a holiday to celebrate Malaysia Day. The place was crowded. We have to share the table with another couple who were just finishing their breakfast.
We ordered 2 plates of wonton noodles, served with minced pork.
I always enjoy my wonton noodles with these pickled green chilies.
2 bowls of wonton dumplings with 4 dumplings in a bowl.
Their wonton dumplings were filled with generous portion of minced pork and a whole prawn.
We usually ordered 1 portion of this herbal duck soup to share.
Knowing that they are closing for good, we ordered 2 portions of soup.
We ended up enjoying our heavy breakfast to the maximum.

Anxious hearts are very heavy,
but a word of encouragement does wonders!

    1. In Ipoh, some days not so hazy. Other places I heard not so good. Some schools have to close.

  14. That is sad, the place closing, it looks like the food is very good. Maybe you will find another place that is almost like it.

  18. The dumplings look so tasty. A inviting, fulfilling meal a little different to what I am used to eating for breakfast, but looks delicious.
