Breakfast At Fatt Kee, Kampung Kuala Kuang

Our friends came across a food video sharing about nice food in Kuala Kuang. Kuala Kuang is about 16.6km from our place and takes about 28 minutes to reach depending on the traffic on the road. We used navigator app Waze to take us to Fatt Kee at 33, Kampung Kuala Kuang. There were many before us but we were able to get a table for 4 people.

We all ordered coffee.
A friend ordered prawn noodle (that day's special).
I can't remember the price of this noodle.
Hubby ordered fish paste noodle with pickled salted vegetable at RM7.
These 2 noodles were served first.
A friend and I ordered seafood noodle at RM18 each.
These 2 came together.
Not knowing that the noodles portion was big, we ordered crabmeat & seafood wat tan hor (seafood noodle with egg gravy) for sharing. This plate costs RM20.
Blended basil paste and sambal belacan condiments.
The boss was so generous that he left the whole container of basil paste with us.
This is the eatery and the lady in black was making the drinks and also the one who took our orders for the noodles.
Menu and price list on the wall.
It was a satisfying and very filling breakfast for us and we will be back again.

O Jehovah, come and bless us!
How long will you delay?
Turn away your anger from us.
Satisfy us in our earliest youth with your loving-kindness,
giving us constant joy to the end of our lives.
(Psalm 90:13-14, The Living Bible-TLB)

  1. Looks like ou discovered another great place to eat, glad you enjoyed it. I went with friends for a meal yesterday evening, and had a huge, mixed salad with strips of crispy fried chicken breast and sweet chilli dip, yummy! Hugs, Valerie

  2. Wah! First time that I see blended basil paste. It must be very fragrant and appetizing. I see that the soups were served in stainless steel bowls.

    1. I quite like the taste of the blended basil. I think it has a little lime juice added because it has a tinge of sour taste.

  3. Wowwwwwww!!! You people sure travel far and wide to go and eat! Your friend's prawn noodles look good. Wowww!!! That seafood noodles RM17.00 and the wat tan hor RM20.00 - worth it, all the 1st class ingredients. I had something yesterday, RM16.00 - felt the pinch but I thought it was worth it. Blogpost on it coming soon!

    1. Definitely felt the pinch but the consolation is we only pay for such breakfast once in a while. Can't afford to enjoy this type of breakfast all the time.

  7. The coffee drinks look very appetising. The noodles look good too. What is the blended basil paste for? To be eaten with which noodles?

    1. I just took a bit to taste. In fact, I find the taste of the noodles flavourful enough and doesn't need any condiment.

  13. So sad I´m not into seafood.
The coffee looks grat, even to a tea-person and yummm, I´d love to taste the basil paste.
Yuoo, I´d be helpless with the list on the wall! ;-)
Have a happy day - I am late again...!
