Hong Kong, Day 5 - Lunch & gifts.
Upon returning to Ngau Tau Kok from our walking tour in Mong Kok, we needed to get something for lunch.
We have to walk quite a distance, and Pete was taking us through the shortest way. The eatery was already packed with customers but we managed to get a corner table enough for 5 people.
We ordered 2 sets of fine noodle with meat slices in sauce - dry version. We found this too dry for our liking.
Strong tea with milk.
This was a hurried meal because the place was really packed. After our lunch, we again walked back to our apartment to finish our packing. Later in the afternoon, another friend will send us to the airport.
I also want to thank this lady friend from Hong Kong, who thoughtfully bought us each a portable fan. She had the battery fully charged, ready for our use the moment we arrived in Hong Kong.
At last, here ends my Hong Kong trip sharing.
Once again I, on behalf of our whole group say a big "Thank you" to our hosts and friends who make our stay in Hong Kong a very enjoyable, memorable and also a very food-filling one. And not to forget our friend who made this trip possible. Thank you and may God bless you all.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in the heavenly realms,
with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
(Ephesians 1:3, New International Version-NIV)
Nancy, you had such an enjoyable trip. Too bad the last day's lunch was such a rush and some selections were disappointing.
ReplyDeleteHi Phong Hong, the holiday in HK has to end and time to pack for home. But our holiday will continue for another 3 days in Semenyih!
DeleteGoodbye to HK. Hope you had fun, thanks for the nice photos so far. Greetings!
ReplyDeleteThank you. Its goodbye to HK and hello to Semenyih!
DeleteLove the cute portable fan. Thanks for taking me on a tour with you in Hongkong. Enjoy your post each day.
ReplyDeleteThe portable fan is very useful and can see a lot of people using it.
DeleteWanton is one of my favourite foods... hehe...
ReplyDeleteThe wantons in Hong Kong are very special and delicious too. Just like locally, we must know which place to go.
DeleteWow , what a nice mobile fan. I don't like tea with milk but most people love it
ReplyDeleteI prefer tea without milk but sometimes I do drink tea with milk, but after that I will need to find a toilet...haha!
DeleteI love the polo buns! Those mobile fans are so cute and practical.
ReplyDeleteHi Angie, we love polo buns too and we were hoping for a yummy one but it didn't meet our expectation.
DeleteThe food looks fabulous as always. I would have loved to try each dish, but probably not that bun that you didn't care for.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking us along on your fabulous vacation. Your posts and photography made it feel like I was there.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Thank you, Sandee. Its disappointing that the polo bun didn't meet our expectation because we have tasted some very good polo buns elsewhere. Have a great day!
DeleteIt looks like great food and a wonderful time, Nancy! Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda. Follow me from HK to Semenyih!
DeleteHomeward bound. Be safe my friend and enjoy your flight. See ya.
ReplyDeleteCruisin Paul
Thank you, Paul. We had a smooth flight and we reached safely.

ReplyDeleteHi Joyful, we continue our holiday in Semenyih for another 3 days.
DeleteWhat a wonderful holiday. I enjoyed reading your travelogue and food posts.
ReplyDeletePolo buns?? Wonder what is inside?? Do not think I tasted it before.
Hi Rose, Polo buns are soft fluffy bread topped with a crunchy and sugary crust. It is served with a generous slice of butter in the middle of the bun. I have tasted very good polo buns and I love these buns especially when it is warm.
DeleteYou are really blessed Nancy! a chance to go to hongkng! wow! and i love to taste those wantons. I'm hoping someday to be there! yay!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Steve, I am indeed very blessed. This trip just happened, was not planned and we were in the right company and we were blessed with very hospitable hosts. And thank God, there was no heavy rain or thunderstorm. I am sure you would love HK.
DeleteThanks for sharing your journey in Hong Kong. Glad you have such kind and thoughtful friends.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Feeling so blessed and grateful to these friends.
DeleteI love all the food on the table. Yes, I do eat beef . Yummy
ReplyDeleteOh that fan...I saw it during sport day, someone bring that. I should have thought of bringing a hand held fan too.
If I were to attend a sport day, I would bring along a man's handkerchief to wipe my sweat. I think the fan will come in useful now. No need to sweat like before!
DeleteYes, very nice of your friends to make this trip so memorable...so any more traveling plans after this? Don't forget me if there is any foodful trip! hahaha...
ReplyDeleteNo plans as yet. Will let you know if I have any..haha!
DeleteThis must be the only meal you have some complaint about! What a trip. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Stacy, actually I am not a fussy eater but this time it was just not up to our expectation.
DeleteHi Nancy, Wonderful trips with lots of delicious food. The wantons and polo buns look extremely good. The fan look so cute.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your wonderful pictures.
Have a wonderful week ahead,regards.
Amelia
Thank you, Amelia. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Have a lovely week!
DeleteIt looks like you enjoyed yourself!
ReplyDeleteHi William, yes I enjoyed myself very much. Thanks for staying with my visit.
DeleteI know I'm late, but welcome home, Nancy! What an amazing adventure you've had. Have a good rest. ^.^
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sharon. Never too late to welcome me, my dear. So good to be home. It was home, sweet home for me after being away for more than a week. By now, I am well rested. Time to tidy up my garden.
DeleteToo bad the polo bun was a disappointment. Luckily the rest of the food apart from the beef tendon that was not soft was tasty enough.
ReplyDeleteHi Mun, surprisingly this place was enjoying very good business.
