Something Different For Breakfast.

Hi everyone, good morning!

Sometime last week, we skipped our morning exercise because it was drizzling. We went back to sleep and woke up late. To wake up late may be a luxury for many but for me to wake up late makes me groggy.
For that morning, I wanted something different from our regular noodles. We went to one of our regular coffee shop for our breakfast. I ordered a sweet bun with butter and kaya (coconut jam). Long time have not ordered this and all of a sudden I want to eat this.
The sweet bun is lightly toasted and I preferred to spread the butter and kaya on the bun myself. Hubby and I shared this soft and fluffy bun.
This morning we were recommended to try something new. Instead of eating our usual wanton noodle, we were recommended to try flat rice noodle (koay teow) with the usual toppings of bbq oink oink, green veggie. The crispy lard was a special addition.
For this bowl of tasty noodle, we must not take our own sweet time to eat this or else the noodle will absorb the gravy. Hubby and I shared this bowl of noodle. The cup of non-sweetened coffee was mine to perk up the sleepy head.
Today is Thursday, so here are some fences to link to Good Fences.
The above 2 are road side bridge fences.
The fence above was taken at the YMCA Ipoh.
Also at YMCA Ipoh.
Two different gates taken near my house.

Linking to Good Fences.

"Very truly I tell you Pharisees,
anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate,
but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber.
The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep.
The gatekeeper opens the gate for him,
and the sheep listen to His voice.
He calls His own sheep by name and leads them out."
(John 10:1-3, NIV)

  2. I also cannot wake up late in the morning no matter what. And with kids who are early risers, I could not eben sleep in if I want to. Hahaha.

Wow! That is something different. I would not mind once in blue moon. That kway teow soup looks so filling. So many things in that bowl.

    1. Ha ha Rose, no way you can sleep in when your kids get up early. Maybe you can wait till they are in their teens, then they will be late risers. Lol!

    1. Usually I won't sleep late. But if I wake up and then go back to sleep again, that is when I will usually sleep past my usual time.

  13. That hot toasted bun with butter and kaya sounds good. I never had Kaya before. I like coffee with 10% cream. I need coffee to wake up too but I always have it after I return home from my early morning barn routine.

I'm a morning person too but the pork plate would be a little heavy for me. Unfortunately, I make up for it at lunch and dinner ;/
