My friend and I used to enjoy weekly Sunday lunch and fellowship together but due to our individual busyness, we were no longer able to continue our weekly lunch. Last Wednesday, my friend managed to make time to meet up with me. And my friend mentioned that it will be good to meet up at least once a month to catch up with each other which I think is a good idea. For this time, our venue for our lunch was at Sushi Zento at Festival Walk, Ipoh. This is my first visit here.
Grilled Pacific Saury with Salt Set - RM 26.
It took me some time to go through the menu before deciding on this set.
This grilled long fish was the highlight of my lunch set.
Stir Fried Slice Pork/Beef with Ginger Sauce Set - RM 30.
This stir-fried beef dish was the highlight of her lunch set.
She chose beef over pork.
The following items were included in both our lunch sets.
A bowl of vegetable salad.
A bowl of soup each.
A bowl of steamed egg custard and 2 pieces of orange.
A bowl of Japanese rice.
We had Japanese Green Tea while waiting for our lunch to be served.
Then we decided to try some smoothies.
Kiwi, Avocado & Milk smoothie for me - RM 16.90
Avocado Milk for my friend - RM10.90
A snapshot before our lunch was served.
A short walk to our car after lunch and passed by this festive decoration.
All right then, the Lord himself will choose the sign
- a child shall be born to a virgin!
And she shall call him Immanuel (meaning, "God is with us").
(Isaiah 7:14, The Living Bible-TLB)
You always find such delicious food to show us.

Thank you, Eveline. Have a happy day!
DeleteWe do not drink dairy milk, only almond milk. Here, all the nut milks are very popular, and some people make their own. I have never heard of avocado milk. A whole fish is the way to go, because you can tell by looking if it was fresh. Now I am curious about your life and busyness. Do you work, and if so, where?
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ginny. I am retired and busy enjoying life. My friend is busy with her family, pets and home.
DeleteChawanmushi is my favourite and is a must-have everytime I visit Japanese restaurant
ReplyDeleteIt seems some of the shops are closed or rather not opened yet along the Walkway
I like the chawanmushi too. I am not sure about the shops, maybe they open at night.

Thank you, Francisco. Have a happy day!
DeleteIt's always good to stay in touch with old friends over a good meal! Nancy, every meal you ever show would be at least two separate meals for me... and I have always thought I had a good appetite! For instance, If I order soup, I wouldn't have salad too ... it would be either one or the other. And for me a smoothie would be a meal in itself. I'm wondering if the portions are smaller in your country... seems a puzzle. All your food looks good, just too much of it for us!
ReplyDeleteThe portions are not very big and they were served in dainty bowls. But I agreed that everything adds up to be quite a filling lunch. Lol!
DeleteLooks like quite the feast.
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear. Its a nice feast!

DeleteI wanted to go to this restaurant! Was in the neighbourhood of the apartment I was staying in. :) But the carparks were full and there was a human queue so had to leave.
ReplyDeleteI will also give up if I can't find parking and I don't like long queue too.
