Blessed With Gifts From Far And Near.

I consider myself blessed to receive gifts from friends. It doesn't matter what gifts but their thoughtful gestures touched my heart. It means that I am occupying a space in their mind and their heart. We understand that luggage space is limited and most of the time conversion rate is high. No matter how small the gift, it needs money to buy and it takes up space in the luggage. So, I am very thankful for the gifts I received.
Recently, my neighbours went on a Europe tour. When they came back, I was blessed with a packet of peppermint tea bags and wafer biscuits. I am still enjoying the peppermint tea while hubby enjoyed the wafer biscuits. A young lady once blessed us with a tin of tea leaves and a frozen pork knuckle brought all the way from Germany. Another friend has also blessed me with chocolates, coffee, etc. when she and her hubby visited UK.
Next, a friend returned from her UK holiday with a bottle of unsweetened peanut butter and a silicone ladle for me. The ladle has this wordings: "Caring Is Sharing The Calories."
After hubby's cousin sisters returned from their Europe tour, they gave us these cute key chains.
I also received a gift from our homeland, harvested from my friend's garden. She blessed me with the above winter melon. I used this winter melon to cook 2 recipes. I have photos of the soup but forgot to take photos of the sweet drink.
I used half the winter melon to cook a very simple soup for dinner.
Ingredients used: winter melon, dried scallops, and dried cuttlefish.
The dried scallop and cuttlefish make the soup very delicious.
The above vegetable were harvested from my garden.
Just nice to cook a plate of spicy sambal mixed vegetables.
An appetizing mixed vegetables dish.
A satisfying dinner for hubby and I.

Trust in the Lord instead. Be kind and good to others;
then you will live safely here in the land
and prosper, feeding in safety.

  1. Love that 'caring is sharing the calories!' It is interesting to see what people bring back from trips, I must admit I'm also laden down with food I miss!
