Noodle & Roast Meat At Restoran Pin Sim Sing Kee, Menglembu

We have plenty of food varieties around us but sometimes, we just don't know what to eat. I suppose the problem is because there are too many to choose from. I think it makes us picky. After considering a few suggestions, we finally settled for Restoran Pin Sim Sing Kee in Menglembu. We haven't been there for a long time.

Their signature "sum si meen" noodle (2 portions).
Roast duck.
Roast pork and bbq pork.
And a small portion of pickled vegetable (acar).
Dipping sauce for duck (left) and chili sauce.
The above food is for 4 people.
Evening sky at 6:25pm.
It has been raining for the past few days.

We were passing by Batu Gajah town on our way home one late morning and I happened to see some nice murals. We were with 2 other friends and I asked hubby to find a place to park so that we could get down to take some snapshots. This is just one of the murals and I will show more in weeks to come.
Tualang Tin Dredge Mural in Batu Gajah.
Batu Gajah (Stone Elephant) was once known for its tin mining activities.

Linking to Monday Mural.

Lord, you see what they are doing. You have noted each evil act.
You know what trouble and grief they have caused.
Now punish them. O Lord, the poor man trusts himself to you;
you are known as the helper of the helpless.
(Psalm 10:14, The Living Bible-TLB)

  10. We are not vegetarians but we eat less meat than we ever did and have cut out red meat entirely. I am not sure I could face all that meat on a plate like that! My problem is that more and more I focus on the animal that was killed.

    1. Thank you, David. If I think too much on that, I too would refrain from eating meat totally.

  11. Thank you Nancy for showing us the nice mural. Oh, the food is for 4 pax. I thought is 2 pax so was wondering how 2 pax could eat so much food. Did you all stop for quite a while to take photos of all the mural?

  12. The noodle looks yummy. I don't know what sum si means.
It's just the time now to choose moon cakes, isn't it?

    1. Sum si in Cantonese means 3 strips e.g. mushroom strips, cuttlefish strips and I think meat strips. We are already enjoying moon cakes.

  17. What a moody sky, Nancy. I was intrigued by this mural. it reminds me of a scene in a Raiders of the Lost Ark scene . The rails that carried the tin and the workers in the mine were especially nice.

  28. It has been raining frequently the past few days in so too making it a cooling and nice to sleep in lol. Love all the roast duck, bbq pork and roast pork especially the roast duck. There are many varieties of food in my neighbourhood too as there are 3 coffeeshops, one hawker centre and one food court nearby. I can always choose to eat food like Chap fan, wanton noodles, claypot chicken rice, nasi padang nasi briyani, ytf soup with rice, fish soup with rice, Thai food, grilled fish or grilled chicken pasta, vegetarian food etc, so much varieties
