Dinner With Friends At O Two Restaurant

Its a Friday evening and we were driving out for dinner with our friends. It was a very wonderful evening and I was quick to take these snapshots of the lovely sky.  The weather seems to be getting warmer these few days.
Blue sky with floating clouds.
In front is the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Silibin Road, Ipoh.

We drove to O Cafe in Canning Garden for dinner but found it closed. I called up one of the contact numbers and was told that Friday is their off day. If we like, we can try their O Two Restaurant which is open at No.5, Jalan Windor, Off Jalan Gopeng, Ipoh.
This is the entrance into the restaurant.
It is directly facing the Chiang Jiang White Coffee (Signature Outlet).
This bungalow has a big compound to provide ample parking space.
It is also brightly lit up.
It was a single story bungalow converted into a restaurant.
A renovated bungalow to serve as a restaurant. This restaurant is only about a few months old.
You can't miss this cockerel or rooster hanging just outside the entrance. It is made from colourful cardboard cuttings.
A pretty chandelier in the hall.
The following were our orders for our dinner for 4 people.
3 cups of hot Lemon Tea with "chan pi" @ MYR 4.80 per cup.
1 glass cold Lemon Tea with "chan pi" @ MYR 5.60
"Chan pi" is sun dried tangerine peel.
You can request for free top-up of hot water to the lemon tea.
Deep Fried Lemon Grass Chicken @ MYR 16.80
Beancurd (soft tofu) with Shrimp Sauce @ MYR 10.80
Spicy Sour Spare Ribs @ MYR 16.80
Crunchy Deep Fried Small Fishes (8 nos.) @ MYR 17.20
4 plates of healthy rice (no charge)
Total cost of dinner = MYR 81.50 - approx. 18.83 USD.
(inclusive of 5 % service charge)

The following photo is for joining Tuesday's Treasures & Image-in-ing.
I found this miniature set of Ancient Chinese spears at the Classic Dining Restaurant.

He will judge between the nations
and will settle disputes for many peoples.
They will beat their swords into plowshares and
their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will not take up sword against nation,
nor will they train for war anymore.
(Isaiah 2:4, New International Version-NIV)

    1. Thank you, Rose. It is a beautiful church building. I have only been inside once to attend a friend's wedding but I didn't take any photos at that time. Hope one day I will get a chance to take some snapshots.

  2. I always enjoy seeing photos of your part of the world, Nancy. And the rooster is giving me crafting ideas. But what is in the lemon tea beside the lemon?

    1. Thank you, Amalia. I think you will come up with something more beautiful than this rooster. Besides the lemon, they put in dried tangerine peel and both combined to give a very refreshing drink.

  3. I love these gorgeous big trees. And I want this rooster!! He is awesome! I find it so strange that a restaurant would be closed on Friday! Here, most people eat out on Friday and Saturday. Those days are very crowded and there is huge business. On a Friday at dinner time, we cannot get a seat anywhere in town!! We would have to wait a long time.

    1. We used to go to the first restaurant on Fridays but now they have decided to make Friday their off-day. It is same here too, most of the eateries will be packed from Friday to Sundays.
