Lunch At Makanan Laut Men Lok, Hutan Melintang.

From Teluk Intan, we took a leisure drive to Hutan Melintang which is a fishing village. Hutan Melintang is located next to the Strait of Malacca and most of the population work in the fishing industry.
Can you see a fisherman mending his fishing net on his boat?
Looks like home to the fishermen with clothes hanging on the lines.
Fishing boats and small boats were also resting.
Very quiet and peaceful on a public holiday.
A young boy playing nearby.

We chose this place Makanan Laut Men Lok to have our lunch.
Decorations on the wall.
Is this a fish or an eel?
My friend recommended that we try this fish or eel dish.
The flesh of the long fish cut into long strips and deep fried with batter.
Next, we ordered some flower crabs cooked in sweet sour sauce.
A plate of green vegetables stir fried with garlic.
Initially, we ordered steamed prawns but later changed it to steamed grouper fish.
The fish was quite a big one, so we chose the more meaty middle portion.

  1. With 2 fish dishes, lunch must be more than RM100, right? Looks delicious!
