Gaharu Tea Valley, Barley Ginkgo And Cendol Ice Dessert In Gopeng.

After the Gopeng Hill Assam Laksa and Beggar's Chicken tasting experience, we moved on to the Gaharu Tea Valley. Made a short stop there because a friend wanted to buy the Gaharu coffee.
Colourful umbrellas, red lanterns and a simple Hari Raya decoration with bamboos on the left.
There is now a dining area which was not here on our previous visit.
 Standing tortoise
Giving the tortoise a gentle pat.
We each had a Gaharu ice cream.
From Gaharu Tea Valley, we drove down to Gopeng town.
Stopped at the food court at the market place to have a drink.
Some ordered coffee, while I ordered this bowl of barley ginkgo drink.
This is our regular stall for soya bean, barley & ginkgo milk drink.
My coffee loving friends like their coffee too!
Next, we heard about the cendol ice in Lawan Kuda.
We were all keen to scout out this place and gave it a try.
A big pot of cendol mixture.
They set up their stall under a big shady tree in front of the Ho Ho Chak Restaurant, Lawan Kuda. There are plastic chairs provided for their customers to sit and enjoy their cendol ice.
 Operating the ice shaving machine.
We each had a big bowl of sweet cendol ice.
Delicious cendol ice on a hot day!
The stall is operated by a husband and wife team.
Opens every afternoon except when it rains.

Happy are those who are strong in the Lord,
who want above all else to follow your steps.
When they walk through the Valley of Weeping,
it will become a place of springs
where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains!
(Psalm 84:5-6, The Living Bible-TLB)
