Early Lunch At Restoran Makanan Laut Thong Lok, Tanjung Tualang.

A friend was in Ipoh for a few days visit. Someone suggested a foodie outing outside of Ipoh. It turned out that our friends haven't been to Tanjung Tualang for a few years, so its time for a foodie trip to Tg. Tualang.
On the day of our foodie trip to Tg Tualang, we skipped our early morning walk.
I had to water my plants and got ready to wait for my friends.
My house was the gathering place.

We were disappointed that crabs was not available that day.
So we settled for the following dishes for 6 people.
Fresh water prawns is a popular item in Tg Tualang.
We ordered 6 medium sized prawns (800 gm) @ RM 88.00
San Yu (freshwater fish) boneless slices cooked with young ginger slices and spring onions.
The bony parts used for boiling soup with salted vegetable, tofu, tomatoes, etc.
Deep fried tofu topped with deep fried tiny shrimps.
 Blanched Romaine lettuce
Stewed deep fried noodles with meat slices, cuttlefish & green veg.
Total lunch came to RM 177.40

The following photos from my garden are for linking to Saturday's Critters
The butterflies in my garden never seem to keep still.
 They are always changing position.
I have to be quick with my phone camera.
After so many shots, these are the few presentable ones.
I was sweating under the hot morning sun.
Finally, it was willing to spread out its wings for me.
It was not a very clear shot but good enough for me.

Linking to Saturday's Critters.

Dear brothers, is your life full of difficulties and temptations?
Then be happy, for when the way is rough,
your patience has a chance to grow.
So let it grow, and don't try to squirm out of your problems.
For when your patience is finally in full bloom,
then you will be ready for anything,
strong in character, full and complete.
(James 1:2-4, The Living Bible-TLB)

  6. It's very difficult to photograph moving targets like butterflies, kittens, and children.

A great meal, even without the crabs.

  11. That is neat how the places you find to eat have dishes that serve many people, we have a couple places like that but no many.
I love your butterfly pictures, it is so hard to capture them they are usually so much on the move.
