Herbal Chicken Soup Noodle & Tomato Cucumber Salad

Ipoh is once again placed under the movement control order (MCO 3.0) for 2 weeks, starting from today, Monday 10th to 23rd May.

No more dine-in at eateries for 2 weeks until further notice.
~~~~~
This dinner was on the last Wednesday of April.
We didn't feel like eating rice, so I cooked chicken herbal soup.
I bought 1 free range chicken and used 1 packet of dried Chinese herbs to boil soup.
I cooked dried noodle for hubby to go with the soup.
I didn't want any noodle, so it was just soup and chicken for me.
I used some tomatoes and cucumber (given by a friend) for salad.
Just tomato and cucumber with Kewpie toasted sesame dressing for hubby.
For me, I like my salad with dried cranberries, pine nuts and walnuts.
Earlier, I posted that the hibiscus buds were dropping off before they could bloom. At last, I get to see one that is fully bloomed. I only noticed it when I took out the garbage in the evening and it was getting dark.
The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom.
Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon;
they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.
(Isaiah 35:1-2, New International Version-NIV)
    1. Yes, Mun. We were already feeling uncomfortable with the spike in the cases, so we ourselves decided to refrain from dining out with friends and to stay home until the situation improves.
  5. Your salad looks delicious. We often use cranberries and pecans in our salad and add a few sliced grapes if we have them on hand. Our favourite dressing is a homemade celery seed dressing which we both enjoy.
  11. That soup looks good. You are lucky only two weeks, we have not had a restaurant open for months and certainly no takeaways near us. We also still have curfew on top of it which they say MAY be lifted to a bit later than 7pm in June!! Keep safe, Diane
  18. Yeah MCO again. Tired of the restrictions already. One thing I never got is why limit the number of people in a car. This particular rule means I need to use 2 (now) or 3 trips (when it was previously limited to 2pax) to ferry 4 people from house to apartment.
    1. We all understand the need for MCO but just that many are confused over the sop.
