This was a Friday. The day started with a golden sunrise.
When I took this snapshot, I didn't notice that the lamp post was right in right of the sun.
~~~~~
I bought the following items for our breakfast and lunch.
For breakfast, I bought 2 sets of vegetable dumplings (yam bean filling) , 1 set of vegetable dumplings (Chinese chives filling) and 1 set of fried savoury kuih. I can choose any 4 sets from the table for RM10 or pay RM3 for 1 set.
These are sold for RM1.10 per piece.
2 Chinese crullers and 2 "horse shoe" (ma keok).
These 2 are my favourites.
2 pieces of peanut pancakes.
I think this is RM1 per piece.
Crushed peanuts, sugar and margarine as filling.
~~~~~
Noodle for dinner.
Instant noodle with stewed chicken feet (extra from the previous day's dinner).
This is hubby's favourite.
Steamed sponge cake (ma lai gao) from our neighbour.
Cleome spider flower from my garden.

And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today
and thrown into the fire tomorrow,
he will certainly care for you.

Wonderful sunrise photos. Your food looks delicious again, I like the sound of peanut pancakes, so yummy! Have a wonderful day, hugs, Valerie

DeleteI like your breakfast of you tiao, ma keok and peanut pancakes. Lucky for you that you can see such a beautiful sunrise.

Thank you, Libby. Have a beautiful day.
DeleteThat's a very satisfying and delicious breakfast with all sorts of dimsum items. Nice shot of sunrise!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Angie. Have a nice day.
DeleteI was delighted when you left a comment on my blog today, Nancy. What a nice surprise. It seems I'm always hungry when I leave your blog (grin). The crullers look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteYour spider flowers are beautiful and so incredibly delicate looking. That was a great sunrise, even with the post in the center. It looked like the light was radiating out of the lamp post and not the sun.
Thank you and have a beautiful day. Thanks for your visit and comment.
DeleteMa keok and ma Lai Gou is my spouse's favourite and the peanut apam is my favourite. Chicken feet are full of collagen, yum yummy! Do they sell only chicken feet?
ReplyDeleteOur favourite is ma keok and peanut apam with lots of peanuts. I used to buy chicken feet from the wet market but since the pandemic, I now buy from the supermarket or roadside stalls.
DeleteLovely sunrise. The flowers are pretty and delicate.
ReplyDeleteThank you and have a lovely day.
DeleteI like the crispy version of apam balik/Chinese peanut pancakes but I can't buy and eat too many pieces and too often now - must cut down on my sugar intake.
ReplyDeleteThe sunrise looked like a sunset, so golden. Looked like it was going to be a hot day.
I too prefer the smaller thin crispy peanut pancakes. This thick one is more filling.
DeleteI love those dumplings and fried dough. Your Cleome is so gorgeous! Love the color!
ReplyDeleteThank you, PH.
DeleteYou tiaw, peanut pancake!! I miss them!!!
ReplyDeleteI like to eat them once in awhile.
DeleteBeautifully capture of sunrise, the peanut pancake look yummy, i miss it. The flowers are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThank you, babYpose.
DeleteIpoh food prices (low) and quality (high) are the best! Peanut pancakes are easily RM1.80 here and not big either.
ReplyDeleteSome of the food are cheap but not all are cheap.
Delete...my cleome are starting to fade.
ReplyDeleteMy cleome are also getting leggy and need to be uprooted.
DeleteGood morning Nancy. I loved the noodles and the different vegetable dumplings. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day my friend.
