This was on a Wednesday. This was the morning sky that greeted us.
Sunrise at 7:18am
Hubby stopped to order 2 sets of spicy economy noodle with sambal chicken drumsticks at the Indian roadside stall to be collected on the way back.
2 sets at RM6 per set.
We also bought 2 sponge cakes at RM8 each (old price was RM6).
The excuse for the RM2 increase was the price of eggs has gone up.
Original flavour on the left and pandan flavour on the right.
I gave the original flavour to my neighbour.
We had sponge cake for lunch.
~~~~~
Home cooked dinner.
Fried fish.
We refer to this as "tofu fish". I don't know what it is in English.
Hubby is not a fan of fish, so I added fried back smoked bacon and 2 eggs.
Sauteed home grown snake beans with dried shrimps.
Our dinner with plain rice porridge on a hot and sweating evening.
I found this butterfly on the louvered window one evening. Due to the lighting, I couldn't get a clear shot of the butterfly.
Baby grasshopper in my garden.
Linking to Saturday's Critters.
For you are still only baby Christians,
controlled by your own desires, not God's.
When you are jealous of one another and
divide up into quarreling groups,
doesn't that prove you are still babies, wanting your own way?
In fact, you are acting like people who don't belong to the Lord at all.
(1 Corinthians 3:3, The Living Bible-TLB)
Your food looks amazing again, boy are we boring!
ReplyDeleteWe´ll make goulash today, Hubby bought "good" Italian wine for it.
As breakfast we had cornflakes with milk, bummer, how exiting ;-)
The Baby-grasshopper looks cute. Have a happy weekend over there, a tasty one!
We here are spoiled for choice when it comes to food for breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner because of our multi-cultures. Wishing you happy weekend too.
DeleteEl bizcocho tiene muy buena pinta. A mí me encanta comer pescado, precisamente hoy tengo previsto ir a la pescadería para freir una pescadilla, acompañada de unas patatas fritas, también pondré una ensalada y de postre prefiero la fruta, tengo en casa melón y nos melocotornes bien ricos, Commo ahora estamos en pleno verano dispongo de helado de turrón, en el congelador.
ReplyDeleteBesos
Thank you and have a happy week.
DeleteThe cheap but nice economy noodles again! What??? RM1 extra for the chicken! Gee! If we have this here, I would go everyday to buy!!! Fish looks good - dunno if I've tried these before, do not look familiar. I do enjoy porridge, very light and refereshing!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am sorry. The chicken is not that cheap. The noodle alone is RM2, add another RM4 for the chicken drumstick. So 1 set is RM6, 2 sets will be RM12.
DeleteOh! And I thought it was RM6.00 for two sets. Chicken looked really good though. I wouldn't be able to resist either.
DeleteThe sambal chicken tastes delicious too if eaten with white rice.
DeleteI had waffle for lunch today lol, so lazy to dabao.
ReplyDeleteYa, you don't like to eat leftovers, we know that. U step on people who eats leftovers so when you eat your waffle, you will eat all of it in one seating. Very good. No need to eat leftovers.
DeleteThe sponge cakes look glorious! Is green one pandan or matcha?
ReplyDeleteYour homemade meals are spot on!
Thank you, Angie. The green on is pandan.
DeleteHi Nancy! :) Spongecake for lunch sounds fine to me! :) I had to look up "pandan", I read it's like a vanilla/coconut flavour, is that right? It looks really good! Oh the price of eggs...I don't understand it. The chickens are still producing like they have been, there is no egg shortage, but they've gone up a few dollars here too...I have to get myself some chickens!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rain. I also don't know why they increase the price of eggs and other things. Could be due to the lockdown.
DeleteLove the bacon eggs too. I would pass on the fish. Such yummy meals you have. Haunting butterfly picture, too. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ellie.
DeleteLovely set of photos. Sorry I have not been visiting, I just seem to be extra busy. I am taking photos but not much time to go through them!
