Thanksgiving Dinner At Restoran Hung Ting, Ipoh

I wanted to put up this post earlier but somehow it was put aside and I almost forgot about it. Now that I have found the photos, I am posting it up here in remembrance of this special thanksgiving treat given by our friend, YFC.

Initially this friend wanted to give us a treat in another restaurant. But on that evening, the restaurant that he has chosen was closed. It took us all by surprise because that day was not its rest day or off day. There were 5 of us and we were all at a lost, not knowing where to go for our dinner. There was one restaurant near by but our friend, YFC was not keen on going there.

Then someone mentioned Restoran Hung Ting and finally the decision was made but we have to travel some distance to go to Restoran Hung Ting. The time was peak dinner time and we knew the restaurant will be packed with people. We did get a table but it was outside on the verandah, without the comfort of the air-condition. That evening was very warm but we have no choice because it was the only table available.

It took some time for the waitress to come for our orders. And we also have to wait quite a while for our food but we didn't mind because of good fellowship to keep us occupied. The food came just when one of my friend started to feel hungry.
One big steamed red tilapia with spicy bean sauce. The fish was steamed just right and sauce yummy.

One poached chicken with sauce, chicken meat tender and tasty.

A big plate of egg omelette with assorted filling. The young and old like this dish, one of the common dishes usually ordered.

One big plate of water spinach (kangkong), stir fried with prawn paste and chili (sambal belacan).

And a plate of tender baby french beans, stir fried with garlic.

Total cost of dinner for 5 adults MYR 97 (approx. 26.12 USD)
Even though this post was delayed, I take this opportunity to once again thank our friend YFC for this delicious and hearty meal.

Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food
will also supply and increase your store of seed
and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.
You will be made rich in every way
so that you can be generous on every occasion,
and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
(2 Corinthians 9:10-11, New International Version-NIV)
